Mapufacture was founded in 2007 by Mikel Maron and Andrew Turner to "Help Build the Geospatial Web". We did projects and built our core rubyonrails based service: an aggregator of open geo data, and set of tools for visualizing geodata. In the summer of 2008, Mapufacture was acquired by FortiusOne, where the spirit of Mapufacture lives on and only grows stronger. Andrew is now CTO, and Mikel is a big fan.
