Nine MDGs

In addition to good governance – the country’s “ninth” Millennium Development Goal – Albania concentrates on poverty reduction, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.A parliamentary MDG resolution, briefing sessions and other advocacy methods have inspired the country to come up with ways to achieve the MDGs at the local level. The government is preparing a national strategy where all regions of the country will contribute in the effort to reduce social and economic disparities.
