Beijing Air QualityUpdated 9 months ago from MapufactureOriginal Source
Beijing uses a API, air pollution index. In the US, we use an AQI, air quality index. An AQI of 100 is equal to 0.08 ppm for ozone, but is different for other pollutants. They don't use the same AQI that the US does. In fact, China uses a different value than Hong Kong. For Hong Kong, a level at or below 100 is same for a short-term 24 hour period. However, if the levels are consistently high during the year, long-term health effects could occur at this range.
