  <description>&lt;p&gt;Beijing uses a API, air pollution index. In the US, we use an AQI, air quality index. An AQI of 100 is equal to 0.08 ppm for ozone, but is different for other pollutants. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;They don't use the same AQI that the US does. In fact, China uses a different value than Hong Kong.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For Hong Kong, a level at or below 100 is same for a short-term 24 hour period. However, if the levels are consistently high during the year, long-term health effects could occur at this range. &lt;/p&gt;
